Hall of Shame: Celebrities Under Arrest

Actor George Clooney

Ah, the spectacle of celebrities behaving badly. It keeps late-night comedians in business.

(What would Jay Leno and David Letterman do without the Lindsay Lohans of the world?) It contributes to a nationwide decline in productivity. (How much time did you spend discussing Charlie Sheen’s meltdown with your co-workers?) And–rarely–it draws attention to important subjects we might otherwise ignore. (Case in point: George Clooney getting arrested outside the Sudanese Embassy.)
