Cunning Jailhouse Weed-Fishing Plot Somehow Backfires

With nothing but time on their hands, two Florida inmates devised a seemingly foolproof system for smuggling contraband into their Pinellas County jail. But, unthinkably, their feat of engineering was foiled when corrections staff spotted their plastic grocery bag full of weed dangling from fishing line outside a fourth floor window. Inmates Phillip William Henderson, 38, and Mark Matthew “Red” Keating, 45, attempted the scheme with the help of their then-unincarcerated pal Eric Scott Snook, 41. Snook waited in the …

The new law, HB 573, provides for as many as four nonprofit dispensaries and allows qualified patients to possess up to two ounces of marijuana. To qualify, patients must have at least one of a limited range of conditions like cancer, Crohn’s disease or multiple sclerosis. …

Alleged Butt-Dialing Pot Smoker Busts Self

After a New Jersey man “butt-dialed” 911 on his cell phone, he was overheard discussing drugs and quickly busted for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.    Oops – Come On In! A 911 call came in on July 5 to police from Florham Park, N.J. But instead of reporting a crime, the caller indicated one was simply in progress – because he’d accidentally called 911 with his cell phone in his pocket. Andrew MacFarlane reportedly could be heard discussing marijuana …
