Postnup Agreements On the Rise

The number of couples seeking postnuptial agreements during their marriage has increased over the past three years, according to a survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.  The poll found that 51 percent of divorce attorneys questioned had noticed more couples signing the agreements, which function as contracts clarifying which spouse owns which assets or property. Survey Says More Moms Paying Child Support

Moms are increasingly responsible for paying child support, according to a recent survey of divorce attorneys. Fifty-six percent of the attorneys surveyed by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) say they’ve seen an uptick in the number of female clients paying child support in the last three years.
