Wrongful Death Suit Filed in Philadelphia Building Collapse

A wrongful death suit has been filed over a four-story building collapse in Philadelphia earlier this summer that left six dead and 13 injured, claiming it “was caused by the negligence, carelessness, recklessness, intentional misrepresentations, and conscience-shocking behavior.” The family of Mary Lea Simpson filed the suit against a number of parties after a defunct porn theater that was being demolished in the city’s downtown tumbled and crushed the Salvation Army thrift store next door, killing Simpson, who was 24. …
