27 Dead in Latest Rampage Shooting [Infographic]

Twenty primary school children and seven adults were murdered on Dec. 14 in a rampage shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Another rampage shooting took place the previous Tuesday in a Clackamas, Ore. shopping mall. The gunman shot three people, two of them fatally, before turning his gun on himself. The number of guns in the United States is growing, and the death toll continues to rise.

Federal Court Tosses Illinois Concealed Carry Ban

The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday threw out an Illinois law banning concealed handguns, which had been the nation’s only blanket law against concealed carry. Lawmakers will have 180 days to rewrite the law to replace one that judges decided in a 2-1 ruling was in violation of the Second Amendment to the Constitution. In Moore v.
