More Wacky State Laws [VIDEO]

At Lawyers.com we report legal news consumers can use, and sometimes we hear some pretty unbelievable things — including laws that are odd, laughable or downright bizarre.  Editor-in-Chief Larry Bodine offers a sampling. There are lots of crazy state laws, and you’d better know them if you’re taking a bath in Indiana in winter. Drunk Driver Arrested After Bragging on Facebook

It shouldn’t need to be repeated, but apparently it does: Should you commit a crime, and wish to escape prosecution, don’t brag about your exploits on social media. A man in Astoria, Oregon was arrested after he broadcast to the world about a little accident he had driving home early New Year’s Day. The lawsuits began with a woman who tripped while walking to the back of the bus, absent any accident or sudden stop. She sued …

Stupid Criminal Brags of Bank Robbery on YouTube

Remember, wanna-be bank robbers: If you don’t want to get caught, don’t go bragging about your crime spree on the Internet. Hannah Sabata, 19, recently (allegedly?) stole a car and robbed a bank in Nebraska. Maybe she could have gotten away with it, but she made police officers’ and prosecutors’ jobs a lot easier when she posted up a seven minute video to YouTube gloating about her exploits and showing off other things that she had stolen (including marijuana). The …
