Drunk Driver Arrested After Bragging on Facebook

It shouldn’t need to be repeated, but apparently it does: Should you commit a crime, and wish to escape prosecution, don’t brag about your exploits on social media. A man in Astoria, Oregon was arrested after he broadcast to the world about a little accident he had driving home early New Year’s Day. Hannah Sabata, 19, recently (allegedly?) stole a car and robbed a bank in Nebraska. Maybe she could have gotten away with it, but she made police officers’ and prosecutors’ jobs a lot easier when she posted up a seven minute video to YouTube gloating about her exploits and showing off other things that she had stolen (including marijuana). The …

Man Robs Bank When He Finds No Money in His Account

LEGAL NEWS OF THE WEIRD — In November, Jacory Walker, 19, pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery in Waxahachie, Texas, and was sentenced to 37 months in prison. He had made the mistake of asking a teller at the 1st Convenience Bank to access his account (giving the teller his Social Security number), and only then, when realizing he had no money left, deciding to rob the place.
