Zimmerman Foregoes Self-Defense Hearing – For Now

Despite plans hinted at last year to the contrary, George Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara said in court on Apr. 30 that the defense would not be seeking a self-defense hearing before Zimmerman’s trial. Trayvon Martin’s Parents Settle with Homeowners Assn.

The parents of Trayvon Martin ­– the teen shot by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla., in February 2012 – have reportedly settled their wrongful death claim against the homeowners’ association of the Retreat at Twin Lakes, where Zimmerman was a member of the neighborhood watch.
