After an accident, what should we do first?

The most common question received during those late night hours immediately following an accident is “what should we do first?”  It is often our recommendation that photographs be taken of the scene, the vehicle, the persons injured, and that the names and phone numbers of any and all witnesses be documented as soon as possible.

Photographs can be entered as evidence and we frequently use photos as we recreate what happened and as we proceed through the legal process with the court and the other attorneys. The photos corroborate testimony and they backup other sources of information that we use such as hospital and other medical records, eye witness accounts, police reports, and so forth.

A Miami accident attorney is frequently consulted immediately after a car crash. The client is usually agitated and filled with emotions. We have to insure the client takes care of any immediate medical situation they or others have and then we look at ways to protect the client legally.
