Philadelphia Personal Injury Lawyers: Social Networking and Personal Injury

It is important for everyone to know that when you post something on social media, it can never be deleted or considered private.  This is true even if you have strict privacy settings.

If you file a claim or a lawsuit, you should know that most insurance companies or defense attorneys will engage in a cursory search of your online presence.  It should go without saying that you should not mention anything about a claim or a lawsuit on social media, especially while your case is pending.  However, jurors and investigators can learn a lot of information from a picture.  The old saying “a picture is worth 1000 words,” really holds true.  If you are smiling in a picture, it can be inferred that you do not experience pain.  If you go on vacation and take photos, it can be inferred that you are healed.
