Pittsburgh Personal Injury Lawyer Discusses Recent Dollywood Lawsuit

A Tennessee woman has filed a lawsuit against Dollywood (Dolly Parton’s Amusement park) seeking more than $475,000 in damages for injuries she sustained falling off a ride.  The plaintiff in the case was riding the “Waltz Swinger” when she slipped out of her seat and fell ten feet onto the concrete below, landing on her head.

The victim sustained broken bones and permanent brain damage in the fall.  In the lawsuit, she claims that Dollywood acted negligibly by operating the ride despite wet weather which caused her seat to be slippery.

Commercial property owners and managers have a responsibility to take precautions to protect the safety of visitors.  If you have been injured as a result of property owner or manager negligence, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries.
