A disabled Hebron, Ill., man has been awarded $12 million after suffering third-degree burns and brain damage while under the care of an employee with Crown Point Home Health Care Agency. The suit claims the plaintiff, who is autistic, was placed in a bathtub with "scalding hot water," causing his skin to blister and peel away almost immediately. He also suffered respiratory failure, pulmonary edema and sepsis.
